La Sociedad Honoraria de Profesores de Español
La Sociedad Honoraria de Profesores de Español reconoce a maestros/as y profes que se han dedicado a la profesión de la enseñanza del español. Estos individuos siguen promoviendo el interés y el apoyo al estudio de la cultura y la lengua española, no solamente entre y para sus colegas, sino también a los estudiantes.
To be eligible for induction to the honorary, a teacher must meet the following criteria:
This honor will be awarded at the annual assembly of AATSP-Indiana during the IFLTA conference.
All questions may be directed to the Chair of the AATSP-IN committee for Sociedad Honoraria de Profesores, Judith Carlstrand.
To be eligible for induction to the honorary, a teacher must meet the following criteria:
- Be a member of the state and national AATSP for at least the past three years prior to induction;
- Teach Spanish for at least 10 years (90% of the teaching must have been done at the elementary, secondary or university level);
- Be a current member of the Indiana AATSP and IFLTA;
- Demonstrate continued professional development by having attended national, regional, or local foreign language conferences and by fulfilling ONE OR MORE of the following:
- Making one or more presentations at a foreign language conference or demonstrating professional growth at the local regional level
- Serving as an officer or committee member of foreign language organization at the local or regional level.
- Publishing supplementary educational materials.
This honor will be awarded at the annual assembly of AATSP-Indiana during the IFLTA conference.
